Ninth Victim Identified, Suspects in Court Following Ekurhuleni Murder Breakthrough!

DAWN PARK, 21 September 2026
Police have confirmed the identity of the ninth victim discovered in the recent wave of women’s murders across Ekurhuleni as Jabulile Ntimba. Her body was found partially clothed and wrapped in a sheet in Dawn Park on Thursday, 17 September. Preliminary evidence suggests Ntimba sustained severe injuries and that her body was dumped at the scene. Her death marks the ninth tragic discovery in the East Rand over the last two months, following the recovery of four bodies in Rhodesfield (Kempton Park), two in Olifantsfontein, and one near the Mall of Tembisa.
Over the weekend, investigators made a significant breakthrough, arresting three suspects (one man and two women) in connection with Ntimba’s murder. The trio was taken into custody by members of the Gauteng Murder and Robbery Unit after forensic leads tied them to the scene. They are scheduled to appear in the Boksburg Magistrates’ Court today, Monday, 21 September, where the state is expected to outline the formal charges.
While the South African Police Service (SAPS) has not formally confirmed if a single serial killer or a broader syndicate connects all nine cases, authorities noted that the striking similarities have warranted high-level intervention. Senior police management has reassured the public that all nine cases are receiving maximum priority, with intensified operations and reinforced deployments actively rolled out across the Ekurhuleni district to restore safety.
